Escape to Ocean Riviera Paradise

Good morning! I had an ice day today - resulting in no school, YAY! Since I have some extra time for blogging I figured I'd share my review on Ocean Riviera Paradise located in Riviera Maya today! I stayed there around the time of the resorts first birthday and LOVED every second. In this post I'll be sharing some of the pictures I took, along with some of the bikinis that I wore; but scroll down to the bottom of this post for the full review. :)

The foam parties were AMAZING

Here's my full review of Ocean Riviera Paradise:

Room: We stayed in the Eden Building on the third floor, but other rooms in the resort have swim out pools, or jacuzzi tubs on the deck! Overall the room was beautiful, and very very clean.

Pools: There are 4 pools at Ocean Riviera Paradise. The Kids Pool, the Adult (18+) Pool, the Eden Pool, and the Beach Pool. The pools are very large and absolutely beautiful. Most include a swim up bar, the pools are incredibly relaxing especially when your having drinks delivered to your chair ;) Waiters walk around and deliver both drinks and food to your beach chair. The kids pool also has a huge water park with slides.

Beach: The beach at Ocean Riviera Paradise was really nice but I actually didn't spend much time there during the day (I preferred the pools!). My friends & I did go on a few beach walks at sunset and there are some really pretty sunsets. One thing we did notice was that there was tons of seaweed on the beach!

Food: The food may have been one of my favorite parts of Ocean Riviera Paradise! It's an all-inclusive resort, which I think is pretty hard to do well - in the past I've found that the food at all-inclusive resorts isn't that great, but that's NOT the case here. When you arrive, your in-room minibar is stocked according to your preference (beer, water, soda, etc.), and there's free 24-hour room service that you can order via the phone. The buffet is amazing, and the selection changes based on the time of day. There is also 5 or 6 different restaurants that open at night.

Transportation: I drove from Grand Rapids to Chicago the night before our plane took off, and we stayed at the Marriott. The next day we flew into the Cancun airport (only a three hour flight from Chicago), and from there it was about an hour ride from the airport to the resort. The hotel made all of the arrangements for us so it was really easy!

In conclusion, I would highly recommend Ocean Riviera Paradise! It's perfect for families, I also saw a few weddings and bachelorette parties!

Let me know if you have questions in the comment section and I'll be sure to answer them!

XOXO, Kendra
